Mock Draft – Or at least my predictions

Bengals: Um, this was a lock ever since he stepped on the field for the college football playoffs. He tore up the field with the LSU Tigers; Joe Burrow is a lock for the first overall pick. With the muscular build of a linebacker, he isn’t afraid of trucking an unsuspecting corner back. He doesn’t have the greatest arm, but he is accurate. Give him a few weapons to throw to, which the Bengals are horribly lacking. AJ Green? Fine, but you can’t throw to someone on the sideline. John Ross? Ok, but with only one weapon, Joe will only have one target. Joe Mixon is also pretty miserable, so he doesn’t even have a run game. I think Joe will return to college because Joe is about throw his whole career to an atrocious franchise. The pitiful reign of Andy Dalton continues.

Redskins: A crazy good DE has fallen to the second pick two times in a row. Chase Young will fall to two. Chase’s speed of the edge is unnerving for the 350- lb. man’s block he’s going to shed. Chase also has 264 lbs. on his back. The Redskins D is pretty scary, along with their whole team and everything about it. Like they couldn’t even get the first pick, my point being they’re even bad at losing. Chase Young led the nation with 16.5 sacks, breaking a school record. Ok, fine 16.5, it’s an insane amount for anyone, but, he sat out the first two games of the season for the federal crime of accepting a loan to pay for his girlfriend to watch him play. The Redskins were forgot about in the offseason, not signing anyone at all, yeesh. They are really appealing to Chase, I mean, like everyone wants to win, but, it sounds like the ‘skins don’t.

Lions: It’s up in the air right now, so, it’s probably going to be an on-the-clock decision but it’s probably going to be Jeff Okudah. He has good size to be a good corner, he’s going to be a shutdown corner, more of a hybrid, not shutting down whoever he gets put on, I think he would be trusted to get put on Tyreek Hill or Tyler Lockett, short, speedy wide outs. He’s not a Stephon Gilmore, big, muscular to get on a physical receiver. He’s very set at corner, not many flaws, not all over the place. I watched some of his play live, on TV and he gets physical, but that’s in college, he forces many incompletions. Give the Lions some time and they’ll be a playoff team.

Giants: I think the Giants will trade this pick to get potentially a later pick and a player or a straight up player. But, if the Giants want to actually draft someone, it will most definitely be Isiah Simmons. Simmons could rush, play corner, play his actual position, play anywhere you want him to, he is the ultimate Swiss army knife, he is a beast. He also is very fast, he can keep up with an average wideout and clamp a tight end. This man not who everyone deserves, it’s who everyone needs.

Dolphins: I think it’s obvious the Dolphins need a QB, Ryan FitzMagic doesn’t have magic any more, he’s bad, so, here comes Tua Tagovailoa. A scrambler, a passer, he can do it all. Tua was injured, so there is a flaw there, their team doctor will check him out to see if he’s A-Okay. I think this could be a turning point for the Dolphins, fast-forward two or three years and they’ll be good if they make the right moves.

Chargers: I think the Chargers will probably go for a QB, Derrick Brown is wide open for them to take him, but they have Joey Bosa. So I say they go with Justin Herbert. It would be interesting if they take Derrick Brown and sign Cam Newton. Interesting much??

Panthers: I think they will go pass rusher, Derrick Brown to be exact. The Panthers need help supporting their defense, then they could really pose a threat, or they could only pose one. Brown has gone under the radar a lot, I heard that he has good strength and could stuff the run.

Cardinals: They just got Deandre Hopkins, they lost a running back, but this isn’t a very good running back heavy draft class. I think they will go with Jerdrick Willis, the number one O-line man in the draft. He’s a beast, not like Mekhi Becton, who’s a physical monster, but Willis is more agile and still has a good physical profile at 6’ 4” 312.

Jaguars: I think because the Jags traded away Calais Campbell, they need some force upfront, they still need O-linemen, but I think they need to replace that interior force that they stupidly lost. The Jags will draft Javon Kinlaw. He’s a physical monster with massive arms and strength, he could also explode with a quick first step. He’s not amazing, only posting up 10 sacks over the past two years, definitely not like Chase Young.

Browns: The Browns really struggled last year protecting their star quarterback, Baker Mayfield. They definitely need someone to protect Mayfield’s blind side. Mekhi Becton is 6’7” and 364 lb., he is huge and will provide a road block for a rusher like Nick Bosa.

Jets: Now, the Jets have two possible moves to make. They could go with Andrew Thomas, who was actually the number one O linemen a few weeks ago, still a solid choice, but, I think the Jets will go with the best wideout in the draft, Jerry Jeudy. Jeudy was a star for Alabama, he is so elusive and it will be an honor for him to be the first wide out taken in a stacked receiver class. Jeudy is perfect for Sam Darnold to actually grow as a quarterback. Robby Anderson left, he was the number one target, they got Breshad Perriman and now Jerry Jeudy, if they could get a good quarterback, because Sam is just bad, then the Jets would be good. Any move would please me in this draft.

Raiders: Yeesh, they are one not good team. They added Marcus Mariota, good move, solid QB who got dethroned by Ryan Tannehill last season. They also added Nelson “I-get-paid-1-million-dollars-and-I-can’t-catch” Agholor. They bolstered their defense a lot, so maybe the Raiders will play better D. I could see them drafting Jordan Love, or just getting some more D, or getting CeeDee Lamb. Ooh, big play receiver with speed is perfect for Dereck Carr or Marcus Mariota and perfect for Coach John Gruden.

49ers: I see the Niners strengthening their already-terrifying defense with CJ Henderson, not the best player for them, as they already have good corners. They could also go with K’Lavon Chaisson, just to give Nick Bosa a friend to terrify the opposing quarterbacks some more. Both of the options could benefit them.

Bucs: Imagine Tom Brady, in supposedly his final year in the NFL and Henry Ruggs III. That would be crazy, Ruggs speeding down the field and Tom Brady unloads…. TOUCHDOWN!! The Bucs could totally do this, but I think they would rather lean toward protecting Brady, Austin Jackson, he’s projected to fall pretty hard in this draft but I think the Bucs could actually do this.

Broncos: If Henry Ruggs is off the board, they could go after someone to strengthen their D, such as CJ Henderson, if he’s still on the board, if worse comes to worst they would go after Patrick Queen or Trevon Diggs, it would be very interesting to see what they do. Drew Lock could flourish with a target like Ruggs, their D would get better and then there would be less pressure on young Lock. So every move would benefit Lock.
